Commercial Manager (SaaS)

We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as a Commercial Manager. Here at Deskpro, we make a helpdesk platform; i.e. we make the software (SaaS) that thousands of other companies use themselves to provide customer support to their users.

This is a very varied role, perfect if you have great commercial understanding, experience in B2B software and love juggling different types of projects.

The Commercial Manager role at Deskpro is perfect if you are:

You will be working closely with Hannah, Commercial Team Lead, collaborating across everything commercial at Deskpro, helping to grow revenue and reduce churn.

Our software is used by companies and organisations such as Microsoft, HMRC, Panasonic, NHS, P&G, Pure, Hotel Chocolat, Vodafone and more.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is a great communicator, loves working with customers, is commercially savvy and enjoys the fast paced world of SaaS. We are looking for someone with 2 - 3 years previous experience in an account manager or commercial customer success role ideally at a B2B software company, and wants a new challenge at a profitable and growing software startup.

What will you be doing?

As a Commercial Manager, you will be working as part of our commercial team (alongside Sales and Support teams) to help grow revenue and reduce churn, across a variety of different commercial projects.

  • Directly reporting to Hannah, Commercial Team Lead, and being an integral part of the team responsible for acquiring and growing customers.
  • Providing account management to Professional and Enterprise level customers.
  • Working with marketing team to improve processes and strengthen the goals between sales and marketing.
  • Responsible for reporting around customer churn (and potential churn)
  • Be an escalation point for customer support for any commercial queries or churn risks.
  • Provide support for RFQs and tender opportunities that Deskpro could be pitching for.
  • Collaborating on customer success strategies, aligning sales and support teams.

Requirements

You will have had at least 2 - 3 years experience working in an account manager or commercial customer success role, ideally in a B2B software company.

  • Have great commercial awareness and ability to learn about customers quickly to make decisions for the good of customers and Deskpro.
  • Be a curious problem solver, able to collaborate with our Sales and Support teams to solve customer issues.
  • Be very good at communicating over the phone, email and other channels
  • Be able to care about customers alongside understanding the goals of customer success
  • Be excited to work in a fast paced environment, with an ability to work across different projects.
